What Does Bankless Stand For?
Analyzing Bankless's capabilities and doing a deeper dive into how they help you BYOB.
Last week I covered how Bankless was a company aiming to help you BYOB. This week we take a more critical look at Bankless and analyze its capabilities, by asking a few questions.
Do the capabilities align with the Values?
Bankless describes itself as a program to help others on their journey of breaking up with their bank. This is thanks to the values and beliefs of its founder Ryan Sean Adams.

The content from Bankless’s 3 main channels of media: the newsletter, YouTube, and podcast are meant to illuminate that uncharted path that leads to this alternative money system. True to it’s purpose of providing a user-friendly on-ramp Bankless has a robust starting guide that acts as a primer to lay the groundwork for any newcomers.
The guide is very clear in its delivery, outlining the goals of the program, the tools, and the resources you’ll need to get the most out of it. Bankless also lives up to their statement of being with you through your journey, as the guide also provides links towards community engagement so that you’re not alone on this journey, and a schedule to help track what actionable steps you choose to take each day. If it feels like what I described involves a lot of moving parts, you’re not wrong.
So how does it all come together?
If Bankless is the program meant to represent your journey, this skill cube is meant to be your map. I encourage you to read what it is in depth, but to summarize, “maximize crypto wealth” and “become a bankless Jedi” are the goals; the money, wallets, banks & protocols, encompass the crypto money system, and the words on top of that are the money verbs that the crypto money system enables you to do. On the left is the mandatory work of understanding security and taxes-because even in crypto it’s a must!
The cube is also paired with a schedule that allows you to focus on mastery of each skill on a weekly basis. The content and strategies from the weekly program directly reference the skills from the cube, this way you have a focal point to always go back to no matter which of its platforms you choose to interact with.
Bankless’s capabilities clearly reinforce its values and work together in such a way that it has managed to position itself as an early educator in web3. Being able to curate content that is digestible and able to be distributed to those who need it, is what web3 is currently lacking. Thankfully, Bankless is one example of a firm that is attempting to meet you where you’re at through a captivating program.
